René Alexis, the sole proprietorship, which includes renealexis.com and the Service (explained below), takes your privacy seriously, and cares about how your personal information/data is used and shared. This privacy policy describes how I use, collect, and share your personal data when you access my website www.renealexis.com, mobile applications if applicable, and any other linked pages or apps, features, and content (collectively called, the Service).

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

René Alexis collects personal information needed for shipping. In other words, if you wish to purchase an artwork from René Alexis, you will be asked to provide personal information required for shipping and courier of your artwork to you.

When you visit my website, renealexis.com, Wix as my host may collect information about you, the visitor to the Site. As the business hosted by Wix.com I am able to view data collected, this includes analytic information.

WHY THE SERVICE USES YOUR INFORMATION & DISCLOSURE

The purpose of the Service is to showcase my portfolio of artworks to a broad audience online, and to gain clients. René Alexis only collects personal information needed for shipping/courier of purchased artworks. This information will be deleted when it no longer has business use.

Wix.com collects users-of-users personal information, which is anyone using my website. Wix orders the collected information into analytic information, which I can access. From the analytic information provided by Wix, I can see how many possible clients have visited my website, and from what type of device (either mobile or desktop). It also provides the country from which the device accessed my website. The platform, from which my website was accessed, for example from a google search, is also visible, and the time of day visitors visits renealexis.com. Other information may also be collected and made accessible to me, the user.

I view the provided analytic information solely to help me assess if renealexis.com is drawing attention to my business. Any other analytic information provided by the Service, for example, applications or businesses other than Wix, that are connected to René Alexis, will solely be used to build my business.

Wix.com as the web hosting platform for renealexis.com may collect users-of-users personal information to benefit their business and therefore their users and their users-of-users. Renealexis.com is a website not an online shop, which means the purchasing of artworks are not done through the Site. If you want to purchase an artwork, René Alexis will request personal information relevant to the purchase and shipping/courier of your chosen artwork. You will be asked to send your information via email, renalexis@live.com. If required, René Alexis will share relevant information with a payment gateway. PayPal is one of the payment platforms used by René Alexis. Necessary information will also be shared with a shipping company. I will share information, such as your shipping address and name with the shipping company I use to ship your artwork to you. I will only share information that is necessary to complete their duty to me and you, which is to deliver your artwork safely to you. The personal information collected for sharing with a payment gate or shipping company will be stored as hardcopy or softcopy at René Alexis’ business location. This information will be discarded when it no longer has business use, which might be immediately after you’ve received your artwork.

René Alexis is not responsible for the actions of partner companies, third parties, or service providers, with whom you share personal or sensitive data, and we have no authority to manage or control third-party solicitations. If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails or other communications from third parties, partner companies or service providers, you are responsible for contacting the company directly. I am only responsible for the management of my business, René Alexis, and therefore the personal information I collect and share.

Legal process

René Alexis will share collected personal information, as described in this privacy policy, if legally required to, with or without notice to you. Your personal information will be shared if I believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to law enforcement and legal requests and duties such as legal process. I may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and personal safety of René Alexis and others. This includes exchanging information with entities for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Online Postings

When you post comments, contributions or other content to the Service, your posts may be viewed by all users, and may be publicly distributed by users in perpetuity, in and outside the Service. The Service does not take responsibility for the distribution of your posts by users. However, where possible your posts will be removed on request. If the Service finds it impossible to delete your posts, it will be your responsibility to contact the Third Party, Partner Company, whichever company you’ve posted on, to ask for the removal of posts.

Your information belongs to you, and you have right over your information. I use personal information solely to run my business, which includes assuring my clients are happy with my service.

If you wish to see any personal information collected by René Alexis regarding you, it will gladly be sent to you. René Alexis can give you the personal information René Alexis has collected about you. René Alexis can also give you information collected by Wix, called analytic information. René Alexis can also request from Wix, any other possibly collected users-of-users’ personal information, and it will be sent to you when it is received from Wix. If by using the Service, your personal information was collected by an application or company connected to René Alexis, I will send your request to the relevant company and assist however possible, however, it may be best to contact the company directly with your request.

You can review and amend personal information René Alexis collected of you, and request to delete any of your information. Because of your use of the Service, personal information collected by companies connected to René Alexis can be reviewed, amended and deleted. René Alexis will contact the relevant company and give them your request, and we will assist you as much as possible. Regarding companies connected to the Service, take note, René Alexis will adhere to the privacy policies of these companies. Therefore, it could be possible that their policies could deny Rene Alexis, the review, amendment and deletion of users-of-users’ personal information that they’ve collected.

If, in the future, the Service offers you the option of opening an account, you can terminate your account at any point in time. If you are a South African citizen, you can lodge a complaint regarding the use of personal information to South Africa’s Information Regulator. Personal information will be processed by Wix.com as long as the website, René Alexis, is active. As soon as the website/account is permanently deleted from Wix, I will not be able to retrieve personal information as it will be erased from Wix’s database. However, Wix may retain personal information after my account with them has been deleted for such reasons as to provide me with a service or for legal obligation. If I delete my account with Wix, users-of-users personal information might still be retained by companies that were connected to the Service. The personal information collected by René Alexis is securely stored at the business premises, and is discarded when it no longer has business relevance. The security of information collected by companies connected to René Alexis, due to use of the Service, is the responsibility of the relevant company. Please take note, in order to protect users’ personal information and safeguard users’ privacy rights; we verify user requests, such as access and deletion of information. Therefore I may ask you for additional information or documentation to verify your identity. These documents will be deleted after I confirm your identity and have processed your request. If you are using an authorized agent to operate on your behalf, I may ask you or your authorized agent for the verifying information as mentioned above. This may vary according to the circumstances of your request. Authorized agents will also need to provide René Alexis with a copy of the consumer’s signed authorization designating them as your agent.
