Refund + Exchange Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your artworks. Please email us at renalexis@live.com within 72 hours of reception of your package if your artworks are damaged.

 

If your artwork has been damaged during the shipping process, or you’ve received the wrong artwork, the artwork is eligible for exchange or refund depending on your area. If you live in South Africa, a damaged or incorrect artwork is eligible for exchange or refund. If you are an International client, you will be eligible for refund only.

 

The only exception is glass framed artworks. For Local and International customers, glass framed artworks are eligible for refund only, and they are refunded in the following way: You will be refunded for the cost of the frame, if the frame got damaged and not the artwork. You will be refunded for the artwork and the frame if both got damaged. Shipping cost is unfortunately not refunded.

 

If you’ve purchased an Art Print, due to the nature of the processes that produce Art Prints, items may have minimal colour variation. Your Art Print is not damaged if it has minimal colour variation compared to the website image thereof. It is not flawed or faulty, and not eligible for exchange or refund.

 

Exchange (South Africa only)

 

If you wish to exchange an artwork, send us an email at renalexis@live.com. Remember you need to notify René Alexis within 72 hours after reception of your artwork(s). Your request will not be accepted if artworks have been sent back without notification, and exchanges must be performed within 30 days from the date of reception of your package.

 

Please provide a detailed reason for your exchange along with photographic evidence of the damage or incorrect artwork. The photographic evidence will be inspected and if damage is evident, or it’s clear that you received the wrong item, the exchange will be accepted. At this stage send the artwork back to us. Packaging and shipping of the return will be at the customer's expense. When your faulty item reaches René Alexis, it will undergo one last inspection. If the issue is consistent with the photographic evidence you provided, a new artwork as by your selection will be couriered to you at our expense.

 

Local Refunds (South Africa)

If your artwork is damaged and you wish to receive a refund, send an email to renalexis@live.com and notify us of your wishes. Please provide photographic evidence of the damage. Remember you need to notify René Alexis within 72 hours of reception of your package. You can send the damaged artwork back to us after we've been notified. Packaging and shipping will be at your expense. When your damaged artwork reaches René Alexis, it will undergo one last inspection. If the damage is consistent with the photographic evidence you provided, you will receive a full refund. A glass framed artwork will be refunded according to the damage as stated above. The shipping fee will not be refunded.

 

Your request will not be accepted if items have been sent back without notification, and refunds must be performed within 30 days from the date of receipt of your order.

 

International Refunds

 

If your artwork is damaged and you wish to receive a refund, send an email to renalexis@live.com and notify us of your wishes. Remember you need to notify René Alexis within 72 hours after reception of your package. Please provide photographic evidence of the damage. These photographs will be inspected and if damage is present you will be refunded. You will either be refunded for the full amount of the artwork or be offered a partial refund depending on the damage on the artwork. A glass framed artwork will be refunded according to the damage as stated above. Shipping fee will not be refunded.

 

Refunds must be performed within 40 days from the date of receipt of your order.
